KITE ON A SHORT STRING...

When I was a little boy (yes, that's me in the photo)  I loved to fly kites, but frequently they'd end up in a tree or damaged somehow.  Recently I got to thinking about a boy who puts a short string on his kite because he's afraid of it getting damaged or lost. That's the question I'm working on answering through a story about learning how to be brave...although by the time I'm done with the story it might be about something completely different!
